Shawna DiResta is a Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of North Star Planning Services. She is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a strong background in person-centered case management. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Winona State University and obtained her LSW shortly after graduation.

Over the past five and a half years, Shawna has worked extensively in the case management field, supporting individuals and families with compassion and practical guidance. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work, Shawna leads North Star with a commitment to lifelong learning, empowerment, and the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful and self-directed life.

Nick DiResta is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of North Star Planning Services. He is responsible for translating the company’s mission and strategic vision into efficient, scalable systems that drive performance and sustainability. Nick oversees all internal functions, including human resources, training and development, compliance, and the design of standard operating procedures that ensure consistency and quality across the organization.

With a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Baruch College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, Nick brings both analytical rigor and practical skills to his role. In addition, he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at Winona State University, where his research focuses on experiential learning and organizational development. Guided by a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Nick’s leadership strengthens the company’s foundation for long-term success and meaningful social impact.

Rebecca Behr is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer of North Star Planning Services. Since 2015, Rebecca has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through direct care, advocacy, and case management. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University and holds an Autism Certificate from AuSM, combining her practical experience with specialized training to promote inclusive, person-centered services.

Since 2021, she has worked in case management, helping individuals and families navigate the CDCS and DD waiver systems with compassion and clarity. As CFO, Rebecca leads North Star’s financial operations with integrity and compassion, blending financial expertise with a heartfelt dedication to enabling individuals to live empowered, self-directed, and fulfilling lives.

Molly Head is a Partner and the Chief Services Officer of North Star Planning Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and is completing her Master of Social Work degree at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Since 2020, Molly has worked in the human services field, gaining experience in ARMHS, in-home therapy, and waiver case management across the AC, EW, CADI, and DD programs.

As a seasoned supervisor and program manager, she is committed to creating person-centered CDCS plans that are thorough, approvable, and reflective of each client’s goals and values. Molly leads with empathy, professionalism, and dedication by meeting clients where they are and ensuring each plan empowers them to live self-directed, meaningful lives.

Michelle Callahan, LSW is a Partner and Chief Marketing Officer of North Star Planning Services. She brings nearly a decade of experience in social work and Minnesota’s home and community-based waiver programs to her role. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2016 with a minor in Alcohol and Drug Studies. Her career began early, working as a Direct Support Professional in a community residential setting as a teenager, where she developed a passion for helping individuals with disabilities live meaningful, independent lives.

Since 2017, Michelle has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate services, develop person-centered plans, and access supports that promote independence and self-determination. As a Licensed Social Worker and experienced Waiver Case Manager and Supervisor, she is known for her strong advocacy, clear communication, and creative problem-solving. She also combines her knowledge of 245D Waivered Services and Person-Centered Planning to create detailed, individualized support plans that help people live their best lives with the right balance of independence and support.
